On the 27th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Ravens chose Rushed Bateman from Minnesota. The 25-year-old started 35 after playing 51 games over four seasons. Bateman played all 17 games in 2024, putting on a career-high 14 starts. He finished with a career-high 756 receiving yards and nine touchdowns at 45 receptions. His previous career highs for touchdowns in the season were two.

The 2024 season was a breakout year for Bateman, and the Ravens paid him a new contract extension. ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced Thursday morning that Bateman had signed a three-year, $36.75 million extension. He was guaranteed $20 million at the time of signing. Previous first-round picks have been signed with the team throughout the 2029 season. Bateman’s nine touchdowns were the most in 2024 by the Ravens receivers.

The Ravens aren’t the only offensive player to sign an expansion this offseason. After the 2024 vintage season, Baltimore signed Derrick Henry to a two-year, $30 million extension, guaranteed $25 million. Henry has signed with the Ravens throughout the 2027 season. Additionally, coach John Harbaugh was given a three-year extension to stay in Baltimore. He is the second-longest-lasting head coach in the NFL. He has been with the Ravens since 2008.
