Out-leaders and Gear of War Studio People Fly means you need to check this and “reduce the team” while making sure you have stopped two of the projects you are developing. One of these games is the upcoming project Gemini. This is a game that Square Enix originally planned to publish, allowing people to work with them to reveal Outrider in 2021.
Founded in 2002, People Fly is known for co-developing some of the biggest video games of the past few years. The team works with Epic Games at BulletStorm to lead development for Gears of War: Judgment. The team also developed an out-leader published by Square Enix.
“Today, we have made the very difficult decision to suspend the development of Project Gemini and Project Bifrost. The relevant current report has been released to the market,” people wrote CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski in a new statement.
“The suspension of the Gemini Project is the result of the fact that the publisher has not presented us with a draft of subsequent content riders of a publishing agreement covering the terms of further milestones regarding Project Gemini and the lack of communication from the publisher regarding its willingness to continue or terminate the Gemini Project.
“Project BIFROST was stopped due to an analysis of the above and group cash flows, indicating that there is a lack of prospects to secure the organizational resources and funding needed to continue the production and release of this project.
“As a result, we need to reorganize as a studio significantly and reduce the teams that hurt the most. We want to express our deepest regret and sadness in how these events unfold and our sincere appreciation for all the contributions we have made up to this point.”
The People Fly investor’s webpage confirms that Project Gemini is a Triple A game developed in collaboration with publisher Square Enix, and that Bifrost is also a self-published game.
