Malta’s Mediterrane Film Festival unveils programme including Jeremy Thomas award

Rebecca Lenkiewicz’s Hot milkIRA SACHS’ Peter Hujar’s Day and James Griffith Ballads of Wallis Island It is one of 28 features programmed in the third edition of Malta’s Mediteren Film Festival (June 21-29).

The festival will be awarded the prestigious Golden Bee Lifetime Achievement Award to British producer Jeremy Thomas.

Thomas will be taking part in a masterclass conversation with Adrian Wooton, CEO of the film London.

The 2025 edition of the competition judges include Carter, Hardwicke, costume designer Charlees Antoinette, set decorator Eligriff, production designer James Price, and Malta director Mario Philippe Atz Paldi.

Juries for Marenostrum include Grainne Humphries, the artistic director of the Dublin Film Festival, and Ania Torzeviatauska, a senior programmer at the Sundance Film Festival.
