President Donald Trump has rejected Israel’s plan to kill Iran’s top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, US officials said.

Israel recently said the Trump administration plans to assassinate Khamenei, according to a source who spoke to the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

The White House has expressed its opposition to the move, officials said.

Development following a similar report from Reuters comes after Israel launched a shocking attack on Iran on Friday, targeting nuclear facilities and killing senior military commanders and scientists.

Iran responded by launching a missile strike against Israel, and the conflict is now on its fourth day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked on Sunday about reports that Trump had rejected allegations of Israeli assassination plan.

“But we can tell you, we do what we need to do, we do what we need to do, and I think the US knows what’s good for the US.”

Netanyahu recently said he was “constantly in contact with President Trump,” adding that he warned his US counterparts about Israeli strikes against Iran.

“Obviously, we informed our American friends up front,” he said.

Asked about Israel’s decision to attack Iran, Netanyahu said the change in the regime “is certainly possible outcomes as the Iranian regime is very weak.”

Netanyahu spokesman Omer Dostri later called for a report on Israeli’s plans to kill Khamenei’s “fakes.”

Earlier on Sunday, Trump posted on social media warning Iran not to attack US targets in the region, claiming that the conflict between Iran and Israel could be resolved “easy.”

“The United States had nothing to do with an attack on Iran tonight. If attacked in form, form or form by Iran, the full strength and strength of the US military will come down to you at a level you have never seen before. But you can easily make a deal between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict!!!” he said.

The Iran-Israel conflict will undoubtedly rule Trump’s talks with leaders of the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the European Union this week.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on Sunday confirmed the death of the attacks of Islamic Revolutionary Corps director Mohammad Kazemi and his deputy Hassan Mohakik.

Israel said on Friday it attacked Iran to prevent the development of nuclear weapons.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut has pledged to stop firing missiles as soon as Israel stops hitting Iran.
