Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday said the Israeli Air Force had caused “serious damage” to Iranian nuclear facilities, claiming Iran’s leaders are “packing bags” in the face of an ongoing military election.

At a televised address, Netanyahu threatened to escalate the attack further, and issued a direct warning to Tehran.

“In the very near future we will see Israeli Air Force jets seen in the Tehran sky. We will attack every place and every target of the Ayatollah regime. And what they have been feeling up to now is nothing compared to what they feel under the upset of our troops over the next few days,” he said.

“I talk to (world) leaders every day, and they express tremendous praise for both the state of Israel and the determination and determination of the great achievements of the fighters. And there is a reason to be proud of yourself.

Israeli fighter jets took off for Tehran

Shortly after this speech, Israeli media reported that a squadron of Israeli fighter jets had taken off from the base on its way to Iran.

Rebellious speech comes even among conflicting reports of the extent of damage. Israeli military officials said the attacks at Natanz and Isfahan’s nuclear sites could have caused damage to them “critical.” However, Iran, admitting the deaths of nine experts in the attack, said the impact was limited.

Netanyahu justified the operation by claiming that if Israel had not acted, Tehran planned to grant nuclear weapons to “terrorist proxies.” Netanyahu added that the operation has “clear support” from US President Donald Trump.

The escalating conflict has directly derailed the planned nuclear talks between the US and Iran. Important negotiations that were scheduled to begin in Oman on Sunday have been cancelled, with Iranian officials calling “meaningless” dialogue in light of Israel’s strike.
