Europe-based distributor POM Anime has won the rights to future Japanese anime Lupine the III Movie: Immortal Bloodline and classic Akira and Firefly Tomb I’m preparing to open it And Da: Evil Eyes In some areas.
The long-awaited Lupin 3rd: Movie It marks the first 2D feature of the acclaimed franchise for nearly 30 years. Pom Anime is scheduled to release the film in the fourth quarter of 2025. Territories including Venerax, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
It is based on POM’s partnership with Japanese animation studio TMS Entertainment after releasing the 1979 classic Lupin III: Cagliostro’s CastleIt was directed by Miyazaki Hayo, who is across Europe last year.
The upcoming film is directed by Takehi Koike, who created three previous features, as well as the Lupin III franchise. Red LineHe performed at Locarno in 2009. The latest story shows Master Thief Lupin and his friends travel to a mysterious island in search of lost treasures and discover a seemingly immortal ruler. Toho Next is scheduled to be released in Japan on June 27th.
Because Pom Anime is set up to release And Da: Evil Eyes Starting tomorrow, I’ll be in a European cinema (June 7th). The first three episodes of season 2 of the popular anime have been compiled to form a feature that will be shown along with 10-minute bonus content available only in theaters.
The story follows Momo, a high school student who has stepped out of the spirit medium, and Ocarun, a classmate who is obsessed with her occult. Together, they travel to a mysterious hot spring town and reveal a dark secret.
The distributor previously teamed up with the French ADN (Animation Digital Network) to release it and da and: first encounter The company continues to partner with sequels that will be released in cinemas last year in Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo. The releases in Germany and Austria continue on June 10th.
Released two years ago by Amsterdam-based Magic Entertainment, Pon Anime continues to build more slates with classic titles.
4K restorations included AkiraPon Anime will partner with Japan’s Kodansha to release the 1988 Cyberpunk anime in 20 countries. It is scheduled to be released on July 16th, also known as Akira Day, when the events in the story were said to have destroyed Tokyo and caused World War II.
The distributor previously re-released the film in 12 countries in 2023, securing theatrical rights in 80 new territories, expanding to Scandinavian and Baltics
We also have the rights to Studio Ghibli Firefly Tomb1988 animation feature about a young boy and his sister in World War II in Japan. Rights have been secured from Toho. Later this summer, releases are planned in 15 regions including Venerax, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Kosovo and Macedonia.
